REVIEW:

First of all, I just have to say that I am quite fond of incubus story-lines, so this book started out on the right track for me. The story begins when the young model, Daniel, decides he’s going to go get discovered. He’s fed up with his parents talking about him going to college since he’s sure his looks can get him everything including fame. However, instead of landing a modeling job, Daniel is captured by a group of incubi. He quickly discovers that he is considered an untouchable, which means he doesn’t get worked over like some of the other less fortunate young captives. Even so, the fear of what could happen to him almost puts him over the edge.

Though this is the first book I’ve read from Meraki P. Lyhne, I had the pleasure of meeting the author this summer in Berlin, so I had a good idea about what to expect. All of the wonderful dark themes that I love so much were present in this book as well as a good healthy dose m/m/m erotica. I think the thing I loved the most was the sexual denial. Daniel, is deliberately excluded from all the incubus feeding going on in front of him. He considers himself straight, but after a while, he can’t deny being turned on by everything his captor does with other men. I wasn’t sure how things would play out for Daniel, so I was a bit shocked by the twist in the end. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

REVIEW:

I devoured this book from beginning to end, and loved every moment. Bare was definitely on the lighter side compared to what I’ve read from Lynn Kelling , but it still had a lot of the dark eroticism I love. The book begins when Ev, the son of a conservative senator, decides to take a job as a nude model at his college. On his first day on the job he meets an instructor, Adam, who offers him a job working as a nude model in his own private studio. Though Ev considers himself straight, he can’t completely deny his attraction to the alluring man who little by little breaks him down and allows him to see and accept who he really is. Ev wants to accept himself and his desire for men, but the idea of his family finding out makes him fear for his safety.

This really was a fantastic read. There were dark parts in this book, but what drew me in the most was Ev’s vulnerability as Adam pushes him to see and accept his desires for men. Though the way Adam does this felt slightly sadistic in nature, Adam never does anything against Ev’s will, and their relationship ends up being amazing and beautiful. Lynn Kelling did an excellent job with this one, and like always with her books, I was left wanting more. I highly recommend Bare to anyone who loves MM Dark Erotica, D&S Relationships, and MM Romance.

REVIEW: Okay, so I couldn’t wait between reading Part 2 and Part 3. I admit I took enough time to write my review of the second installment and then dove right into the third to find out what happened to poor Wade. (Good luck not doing the same.) Kev is proving to be more of a hardass than might be expected, but then, after getting the chance to own the star quarterback who’s tormented him for so long… Well, let’s just say the fact that he doesn’t waste his chance to get back at one of his tormentors isn’t a surprise.

What was surprising was the addition of a third party into Wade’s predicament — but it was a very enjoyable surprise. I’d almost feel bad for the guy, but there’s enough of a twist there to where I can’t help but enjoy his plight even more. Again, I don’t want to give spoilers, but Kev has Wade right where he wants him, and he doesn’t let up. (Go Kev!) Tiny spoiler: the slightest mention of collars and calling someone submissive ‘boy’ with references to muttlike treatment might have me a little too interested. I admit I have a weakness for the training Kev starts to put Wade through, and I’m hoping for more of the same.

As I’ve said before, the books might be short, but they are well-written, complete stories with interesting characters. This isn’t just a typical revenge story; this is one where the characters clearly take on a life of their own and leave me wanting more. Hot and compelling as these are, I don’t think I could put down the series if I tried.

RATING: I loved it!

REVIEW: The football players in this story are arrogant and entitled — and according to the school, they have every reason to be. That means that no matter who they choose to pick on, it’s up in the air as to whether or not anyone will actually stop them. Kev has what could be the perfect solution, if only his blackmailed football player would stand up for him. Unfortunately for him, it seems like Wade needs a few reminders as to just who’s in charge.

I really liked the first installment in this series, but I think Part 2: Blackmailed! was even better. Kev starts to get creative with just how he’s going to teach Wade a lesson, which makes it hotter and hotter, and I found myself rereading a few sections. For… research, of course. It was nice to see Wade’s reaction when he finally found something that reached his limits, though his reaction to just how Kev handles it when he balks was fantastic.

I don’t want to give away spoilers, because I enjoyed being surprised by just what happened. Suffice it to say that it gave a nice dose of kink and an idea of just where Kev might go next to keep his football player in line. Well-written and another enjoyable dose of Kev and Wade. I’m already ready to go straight into the next one. (Well. Straight. You know. ;-)) This might be short, but it packs a hell of a punch.

REVIEW: Rent Me was one of those books where I found myself getting into the characters as much as the plot — and sometimes, I wanted to bang their heads together. I absolutely love flawed characters; it’s a common theme in all of the books I adore. Brennen is a bit of a brat, and Dmitri is a bit oblivious, and Nika… Ah, I wanted to send her packing right back to Russia. The character I loved the most was Mischa, Dmitri’s brother; ever dutiful, he goes to extremes to make sure that he does right by Dmitri, but he’s good at what he does.

This book definitely isn’t for people who expect everything to be perfect; this relationship is anything but. However, that’s the way life is, and that’s the way things need to be in order for there to be growth. The author’s style may not be for everyone, but I for one enjoyed the read and can’t wait to pick up the next one.

RATING: I really liked it.

REVIEW:

This book was amazingly and extremely vicious. I loved the last book, but this is definitely my favorite in the series so far. I don’t really know how to review it without giving away too much since the book starts out with a surprise. So, I’ll just say that things get pretty dark for some of the characters in previous books. I imagined it was dark for them already, but their situation just gets worse before it gets better. Elias takes his sadism to an entirely new level in this installment, making an already tricky social situation impossible. I probably couldn’t get more cryptic with this review, but just expect a lot of mind fucks, non-con, and angst. Really, Elias is such an ass, I’m just waiting for him to get a taste of his own medicine. I recommend this book to anyone who likes m/m dark erotica.

Note: This isn’t a standalone. It must be read in order or nothing will make sense.

My god! I need more stars for this one. Five stars are not even close to being enough! Antidote is the third book I’ve read by the author and by far my favorite. The book begins with a glimpse of the three men’s happy world. Jack has his “okay” to return to being a master’s sub and they are all crazy about each other. However, before Jack can get back into it, he receives a disturbing video from his past. Then everything goes downhill when Jack and Jan wake up to find themselves abducted and in a nightmare. Even when it appears the nightmare is over, it’s not because the damage they’ve inflicted runs too deep.

I fell in love with this book from the beginning. There is so much angst and the situations are so intense. As they try to piece their lives back together, the pain they all endure over Jack’s trauma is just heartbreaking. Though Jack endures most of the torture, I really felt sorry for Jan and what he goes through.  I’m so glad I continued with this series. I wasn’t very attached to the first book, but now that I’ve read book 2, I can’t wait to read more. I highly recommend Antidote to anyone who loves m/m dark erotica with lots of angst.
