Son of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar, Sasha is the king of kings. He’s the pharaoh, and he’s supposed to be the most powerful man in Egypt, but he’s convinced there’s something wrong with him. Maybe he’s in heat or maybe he’s just cursed, but no pharaoh should have such an insatiable need to be mated by another man. Even worse, the man he desires has never shown an inkling of interest in him.

When the young pharaoh finds himself the sole ruler of Egypt and under siege by the Romans, he has to find a way to deal with the desires consuming him or all will be lost.

Dixon Rowe is a good man and a good cop who keeps finding himself in bed with the enemy. After he picks up a young ex-con named Jaye Larson for stealing food, Dixon is seduced by the possibility of helping someone truly in need. He tells himself he’s assisting young Jaye out of the goodness of his heart—not because of how sexy Jaye is under all of the tattoos and defiance. But temptation entangles them as the malicious ghosts of Jaye’s past returns to haunt their every step. Jaye’s ghosts are bad enough, but the demon from Dixon’s past is real enough to put both of their lives in danger. (M/M)

REVIEW:

Absolutely beautiful! Arctic Absolution begins when the Alaskan cop, Dixon, responds to a robbery at a convenience store. However, when he arrives on the scene, he finds the slim, beautiful Jaye who looks like a teen. Jaye is an x-con with a gang tattoo on his face. Though he looks like trouble, Dixon is drawn to him and also wants to help him. As their lives become entwined, Jaye learns about Dixon’s abusive x-boyfriend, Marcus, and Dixon’s fear of Marcus alights something in Jaye. He can’t stand that someone hurt Dixon in the same way Jaye had been hurt.

This book was unbelievably hot and just so damn beautiful! The first time Jaye and Dixon were together was breathtaking and heartbreaking all at once. Having read Caged Jay prior to reading this book, I could really sympathize with Jaye and all that he’d gone through in prison. It broke my heart that he escaped that hell just to freeze and starve all alone in his cabin, where he was still being haunted by his ghosts. That Dixon came into his life and extended a hand to help him was just perfect and made me love Dixon right away. After reading Caged Jay and seeing how badly they broke Jaye in prison, I really enjoyed how Jaye is built up in this book. It was also perfect that Jaye found someone who is just as broken as him. Jaye is so protective of Dixon even though Dixon is older and a cop. I love everything about this series. I look forward to reading the next book. I recommend Arctic Absolution to anyone who loves m/m romance with violence and dark themes.

RATING: In love with it!

REVIEW:

Oh my god, this book is truly amazing! My heart is so intertwined with this series. When I read book one I was so frustrated; dying for just one touch, but by the end of this book I was crying. I’m still crying with happiness. Prince’s Gambit picks up where Captive Prince drops off, with Damen accompanying Laurent into battle. Everywhere they turn they are dodging swords and they don’t know exactly who to trust.

I can’t say much without spoilers, so I’ll just say that the ending is breathtaking and spectacular. One note; I think that Laurent is just too smart to not know Damen’s true identity. It just does not seem possible that he doesn’t know. I hope so much that I’m right.  I can’t wait to read book three. It is eating a hole in my Kindle as I type.

RATING: Absolutely crazy about it!

REVIEW:

This book begins when Leo returns from a mission to find a missing doxie. Though Leo kills many of the people responsible for taking him, Leo is injured multiple times. Before he stopped taking ambrosia, he would have healed almost instantly from any wound, but since the drug is out of his system, his immortality is at risk. The other gods fear they may lose Leo and convince Kaleb to feed him the flower with a kiss. Kaleb knows Leo doesn’t want the drug, but he can’t stand the thought of losing Leo. After Kaleb feeds him the flower, Leo is healed, but he is once again hooked on the substance he wanted so badly to escape. Leo wants to punish Kaleb by taking him to a gathering where he would be free for others to touch, but when they arrive Leo guards him jealously. Though the other gods imagine they will have a go at Kaleb, Leo is willing to face the worst punishment to keep that from happening.

Chained was just as erotic and extreme as the first book. Kaleb’s punishments are excruciating, but at the same time amazingly hot. The chemistry between Kaleb and Leo is off the charts, and burning hotter as the effect of the ambrosia that Kaleb emits becomes so strong that it leaves them both passed out for days after they are together. In addition to the unbelievable erotica, we learn more about the world of the gods and doxies. There’s a monster on the loose hunting doxies, and there is so much tension between the gods over Leo’s desire to keep Kaleb that I can imagine some kind of war on the horizon. I was so sad about what happens to Aaron. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’m hoping that Kaleb has the gift of healing. I look forward to seeing what happens next. I recommend this book to anyone who loves m/m dark erotica, dub-con, and m/m dark fantasy.

REVIEW:

Holy Crap! I’m in love with this book! It was so dark; so raw and unforgiving. Lynn Kelling is definitely on my favorite author list, and I can’t wait to read more of her work. Caged Jaye begins with a glimpse of Jaye’s life before he becomes the victim of a hate crime that, by some twisted fate, ends up landing him in jail. Jaye is a beautiful nineteen year old with long wavy hair. He knows he won’t make it in prison without a protector, but the hell he has to endure in order to survive almost breaks him.

This book took my breath away. It’s been a while since I’ve read something so dark and twisted that had the power to move me so much. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m not fond of the gray hopelessness often present in prison dramas. However, there was so much going on in the plot that the prison environment never came close to bringing me down. I loved how Jaye grows through his ordeal. Everything that happens to him and how he copes with the pain and humiliation is so real that it rips your heart out. At the same time this book is extremely hot. I just couldn’t believe some of the non-con scenes. They were so erotic and at the same time the extreme angst had my chest in knots. Despite all the hopelessness and desperation, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is my first time reading Lynn Kelling, but after finishing this book, I’m seriously addicted. I won’t be able to rest until I’ve hunted down and devoured everything she’s ever written. I recommend Caged Jaye to anyone who loves dark themes, angst, and m/m dark erotica.

RATING: Absolutely crazy and madly in love with it!!!

A bite-sized trans* love story:

Stuart Leandro knows he’s washed up, both on the big screen, and in his marriage. Then, when things take an even bigger turn for the worse one night, he winds up blind drunk and lost in a foreign city.

Thankfully, someone’s there to rescue him before his face ends up plastered all over the tabloids.

Wary of the motives of the reclusive stranger who brings the fading star into the quiet shelter of a hip but isolated loft, Stuart nonetheless can’t deny his curiosity… Or his attraction. Tim is unlike anyone the actor has ever met, but underneath the mystery and quiet attempts at invisibility, Stuart discovers someone whose life has been intertwined with his own for years.

Neither could have predicted that Tim’s act of kindness would lead to one of the most intense encounters of their lives—but, are they willing to weather the media storm their extraordinary relationship will cause?

REVIEW:

This book was extremely sweet as well as erotic. The story begins when an actor, Stuart, wakes up in someone’s house after he went on a drinking binge. Stuart thinks at first that he’d had sex with the person, and he also imagines the person is a woman. However, when he realizes that Tim is actually a transsexual man, he’s intrigued. Stuart finds out that Tim has been one of his biggest fans as well as a critic that he’s very familiar with. As they get to know one another, Stuart cannot deny his attraction for Tim. They come together and realize their feelings are something they cannot bear to hide or do without.

It’s not often that I read transsexual romance or trans erotica, so this book was definitely different for me. Tim was so androgynous that it was hard at first to visualize him being a man, but in the end, it really didn’t matter. The book was hot. I especially loved how Stuart didn’t judge himself for desiring Tim. Even though he’d never imagined being with a trans man before, he is comfortable enough with his sexuality that he doesn’t have to judge himself or over analyze the situation. He just goes with his heart without worrying about all the rest. I commend the author for stepping out of his usual genre with this book; something I hope to see more m/m authors do. I recommend The Complications of T to anyone who loves GLBTQ Erotica and M/M Romance.
